Product Difficulty Ratings
One of the most often asked questions is "How difficult are the products?" or "What is a good product for a beginner?"
We've rated the products with purple stars to give you some idea of how easy or difficult the products are to assemble.
The ratings go from 1 star (*) to 5 stars (*****) with 1 star being the easiest and 5 stars being the hardest. Products with 1, 2 or 3 stars are considered to be beginner products.
Products with 4 or 5 stars are for assemblers with some experience. These ratings are just an estimate because things that some people find difficult are easy for others. The rating stars appear at the end of the listing for each product.
Every kit comes complete with these items:
- Complete, detailed assembly instructions.
- Disposable knife for cutting our the parts.
- Plastic bags to put each completed item in.
- Extra Materals to cover for practice or mistakes.
- Form for requesting extra materials at no charge, if they're needed, to complete work on the kit.
- Payment request form. You *must* send this in when you finish your work. It let's us know if you want your deposit back or a new kit to be sent out.
Some kits come with:
- A bottle of glue. If the kit requires gluing then a small bottle of white, non-toxic glue is included.
- Sample of the item. Kits marked "New" are often with out a sample. But remember that the first time you make a product you will be making a sample of your work and sending it to us to be checked at no cost. So, even if there's not a sample you'll be making sure you're making the product correctly.
No kits come with a stapler. When you finish an item or set of items, you put the item or set in a small plastic bag.
Click Here to open a new window with some examples of completed, bagged products. You must have a regular desk-type stapler and staples to seal the tops of these plastic bags. Smaller staplers and staples are also acceptable.
